The Arena is seeking team-oriented individual that will be responsible for assisting in the facilities mechanical/electrical needs within the facility. This role involves the timely and efficient completion of preventative maintenance tasks, reactive repairs, and supervision and operation of arena equipment. The Maintenance Technician is expected to work independently and professionally across multiple skilled disciplines to support a world class sports / entertainment facility. In addition, the mechanical technician is expected to maintain all mechanical / electrical rooms to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.
This role will pay a wage of $28 to $30.

We are looking for some enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible folks to serve as members of the Firebirds Promotional Team for the 2022-2023 season. This position provides a great opportunity to interact with our fans while learning about the operations of a professional hockey team. These members will assist with in-game promotions, contests, on-ice performances, and other activities during each Firebirds home game.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.

The Coachella Valley Firebirds are seeking a Public Address Announcer. The Public Address Announcer will serve as the in-arena voice for all 2022-2023 Firebirds’ home games.
The Firebirds will host thirty-four (34) regular season, and any additional playoff games at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California. The Public Address Announcer may also serve as host/emcee for various community and special events as needed.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $40.

The Welcome Center Specialist will support the Berger Foundation Iceplex guest experience, point of sale front desk, and programming activity. This will include cross-collaboration with program leaders for youth hockey, adult hockey, figure skating, and in-venue events to maximize efficiency and customer communication.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $20 per hour.

Position Summary:
The Arena is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee our Maintenance department. The chief engineer will be responsible for supervising maintenance employees in the daily activities of building systems to assure all facility systems are operating and well maintained in various areas, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting and climate control systems, roofing systems and maintenance/cleaning of equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating the work of staff engaged in repair, maintenance, and preventative measures of all facility systems.
- Assist Operations Manager in the Scheduling, training, evaluation and discipline of the maintenance staff.
- Estimate cost, determine maintenance priorities, and ensure jobs are completed with a high degree of proficiency.
- Inspects systems throughout facility to detect malfunction or breakdowns.
- Investigates malfunctions or breakdown of systems to diagnose causes and locate the source of the problem.
- Anticipates potential malfunctions or breakdowns and takes appropriate action to prevent or minimize the use of services.
- Responsible for CMMS Program and work orders as well as the development and execution of a preventive maintenance program facility wide.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Central Plant.
- Operates and maintains refrigeration and heating systems of the facility.
- Maintains and inspects equipment, including pumps, boilers, automatic doors, and additional HVAC equipment.
- Records inspections and repairs.
- Performs electrical repairs, emergency plumbing repairs, and HVAC repairs as needed.
- Implement facility rules, regulation policies and procedures.
- Adheres to OSHA and other applicable safety codes.
- Knowledge of safety precautions applicable to building equipment and repair.
- Coordinates the operations activities with other building departments and show-related contractors.
- Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions. Investigates, analyzes and resolves operational problems and complaints.
- Aids in maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment and makes recommendation for purchases.
- Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program and standard operations procedures for all machinery and equipment.
- Operate, monitor, repair, and maintain the facilities audio-visual systems and equipment, environmental controls, emergency power, electrical, HVAC and lighting systems as required for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
- Review event documents for engineering/operational requirements.
- Read and interpret performance charts and control panels to evaluate the efficiency of each system.
- Operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other light power driven equipment.
- Respond to routine, precautionary and emergency alarms for building automation and life safety systems.
- Assist with capital budget as related to the facility system upgrades and energy conservation program.
- Demonstrate knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry technology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated for the facility, in particular, the methods, techniques, and procedures to repair and maintain mechanical, electrical and event-related equipment.
- Possess any licenses, certificates or training required by local, state, or national authorities for the operation of equipment around the facility.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered during the course of employment.
- Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related material.
- Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
- Work effectively under pressure and or/ stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
- Supervise employees, recommend personnel actions such as promotions, discipline and discharge, interview, select, and train personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Intermittent Travel (<10% travel): Trips will require some air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required
- Frequent bending, lifting 50-75 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building
- May occasionally have to enter areas where fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals are present.
- Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. May also require being on call
- May occasionally require working in harsh weather conditions.
Salary: $70,000 per year

Responsible for creating one of the most important initiatives at the Acrisure Arena, the Brand Manager will develop and initiate the overall brand strategy for the Arena. This program will be the epicenter of Acrisure’s reputation within the industry. Everyone that comes through the Arena from artists, fans, patrons, and staff should leave feeling they received top-notch and world- class experience. The Brand Manager will also have day-to-day oversight of event-related marketing, promotions, and advertising functions designed to sell tickets and build Acrisures Arena’s brand. The position will be responsible for crafting the social voice of the arena while taking on the responsibility of creating, scheduling and planning for all social media platforms and will actively participate in venue branding, community relations and publicity efforts in conjunction with other members of the marketing, sales, ticket and arena programming. This position may supervise multiple Brand Coordinators based on needs.
This rol ewill payt a salary between $65,000 and $70,000 annually.
