In addition to the various sporting events held year-round, the arena plays host to various concerts, comedy shows, expos, and family shows.   This role pays an hourly rate of $16.94  

The position of Zamboni Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the ice resurfacer (Zamboni), maintenance of all areas pertaining to and or involved in maintaining a quality sheet of ice for a professional hockey team. The Zamboni Operator will work on both the Angel Of The Winds Arena ice sheet and the Community Ice Rink Sheet.   This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00  

The Box Office Attendant is responsible for ticketsales and customer service for all ticketed events at the Angel Of The Winds Arena.   This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.77   Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. 

The Marketing Coordinator role will support marketing initiatives across Rupp Arena, Central Bank Center, Lexington Opera House, and Gatton Park as needed. Responsibilities include assisting with the distribution of promotional materials, supporting both back-of-house and front-of-house marketing activations, contributing to content creation, executing grassroots promotions, and providing additional support for other marketing tasks as needed.   This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00  

The Event Security postion is assigned to the Event Security Department and reports to Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager of the department via the sections chain of command supervises all personnel. This Event Staff position is responsible for patrolling all areas of property and parking lots, securing doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and contract labor while on premises; securing property during move in/out trade shows, conventions or events.   Under the direction of the Director of Events & Security, and Event Manager, Event Staff are responsible for maintaining a positive guest experience for all PPL Center patrons. Event Staff enforce all rules, regulations and policies of the PPL Center, while providing excellent customer service.

The Dishwasher serves a variety of essential back-of-house and front of house Food & Beverage roles, including working as a dishwasher, food runner, deep cleaning the kitchen and all equipment, and other miscellaneous duties. The Dishwasher washes and sanitizes all tableware, smallwares, serving materials, and cooking equipment. Dishwashers are required to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment. Dishwashers are also required to gain an extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment, including but not limited to steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipment. 

The Premium Club Prep Cook is responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests in our Premium Club Area. The Premium Club Prep Cook will often have direct contact with the public working at stations, slicing meats or preparing dishes to order. The Premium Club Cook must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.   This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 to $16.00

Under the general supervision of the Executive Chef, the Prep Cook is responsible for preparing food and assisting in the preparation of items in various kitchen operations per company recipes and standards in a fast-paced environment. The Prep Cook must adhere to high company standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Portion control, food waste and sanitation are additional areas the Prep Cook must be aware of while operating in the kitchen. The Prep Cook will be responsible for the setup, sanitation, cleaning, and closing of their workstation area.  

The Cook is responsible for preparing food and assisting in the preparation of items in various kitchen operations per company recipes and standards in a fast-paced environment. The Premium Club Lead will assist management in the oversight of staff and operations in our exclusive premium club seating area. They will be focused on high-quality customer service, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards in a fast-paced environment. Key duties include assisting with the guidance of staff, managing guest experiences, ensuring food and beverage service is impeccable, coordinating special events, and assisting management with training and inventory.   

The Suite Attendant is responsible for providing food and beverage service in the premium suite areas. The Suite Attendant must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. The Suite Attendant must maintain attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.   This role will pay an hourly rate of $11.00 to $14.00 and is tip eligible  

The Zamboni Operator will perform general labor duties as assigned. Duties included but not limited to building conversions for various events, familiarity with all aspects of facility operations and maintenance in addition to ice making, ice maintenance and repair.   This role will pay an hourly rate of $14.00 to $19.00  

Under the direction of the Director of Events and Security & Security Manager, the Event Security is responsible for maintaining the safety of the PPL Center, employees, patrons, and visitors. Event Security staff enforce all rules, regulations and policies of the PPL Center.    This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00 to $15.00

Housekeeping is responsible for the continuous cleaning of the facility, as well as keeping the environment safe and hazard free for entertainers, guests, patrons, and staff. They are responsible for ensuring the venue is ready to go for all events and presentable at all times. They must communicate in a friendly, respectful and understanding manner with both colleagues and guests alike. They must politely give consistent, timely and accurate information and find answers when unsure. Must be a team player, cooperate with employees within the department as well as other departments.
