The 9-week internship on Oak View Group's Global Partnerships team will give you exposure across OVG's owned-and-operated venues (e.g. Climate Pledge Arena, Moody Center, Mullet Arena, UBS Arena, Acrisure Arena, CFG Bank Arena), third-party sales properties (e.g. Naming Rights/MLB/NHL Jersey Patches), our Arena Alliance property (i.e. 36 NBA and NHL teams across North America), and OVG 360 (300+ managed facilities). Your role will focus on both partnership sales and activation for the various properties listed above in OVG’s portfolio. The sales aspect will provide exposure to the process from prospecting to contract and will consist of research, pitch development, presentations, and building term sheets. The activation component will include supporting and delivering upon executed contracts for our partners and clients.   This internship will give you a glimpse of a career in corporate partnerships, allowing you to learn, ideate and act on some of the most prestigious properties in sport and entertainment.   There will be internships across seven different locations for this Global Partnerships internship program – LA, New York, Seattle, Phoenix, Austin, Coachella Valley, and Baltimore. The Director of Partnerships is responsible for generating revenue for the venue through the sale of venue advertising, event sponsorships, signage, website, social media, and promotions. This is a sales position without staff managerial responsibilities. Compensation will consist of base salary plus sales commission. The Director of Partnerships is responsible for leading all sponsorship and premium seating initiatives for OVG at McCormick Place, Wintrust Arena and the Arie Crown Theatre. The Director of Partnerships is the primary salesperson, responsible for conducting and overseeing the entire sales process from prospecting new business, presenting to prospective clients, negotiating, and then implementing contractual agreements with all corporate partners.   The Director of Partnerships oversees 1-2 additional Partnerships department team members while working internally with other department directors and the facility client to ensure all processes are efficient and in line with overall operations and business plans. This position will serve as the department head for local operation and be responsible for the sales and service for all corporate partnerships. Compensation will consist of base salary plus sales commission.
