The Operations Manager assumes management responsibility for all services and activities involved in the operations of all arena and convention spaces; providing direct supervision of all full time and part time hourly employees in the Operations Department, specifically in the areas of housekeeping, room sets, show care and conversions at the Iowa Events Center.    This role pays an annual salary of $44,000-$47,000.  

The Concession Stand Lead oversees the operation of the stand location and is responsible for ensuring quality of products and accurate preparation of all food and beverage items as listed, oversees and participates in set-up and closing procedures and paperwork (basic math skills), and resolves problems with the assistance of a manager. The Stand Lead is responsible for supervising cashiers, bartenders, prep cooks, operating the Point of Sale system/cash register, and ensuring all proper cash handling procedures are being followed. The Stand Lead will be responsible for all inventory in the stand/portable and maintain accurate paperwork as required.

The Concessions Cook is responsible for preparing concession menu items per specifications and/or company recipe utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Concession Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guess satisfaction. Portion control, food waste and sanitation are additional areas that the Concession Cook must be aware of while operating in the concession stand.   This role will pay an hourly rate of $14.00 to $19.00 

The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. They are responsible for ensuring the venue is ready to go for all events and presentable at all times. They must communicate in a friendly, respectful and understanding manner with both colleagues and guests alike. They must politely give consistent, timely and accurate information and find answers when unsure. Must be a team player, cooperate with employees within the department as well as other departments.
