Overview

The bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

 

Salary: $18.69- 20 hr

Responsibilities

    • Uses strong beer, wine, and mixed drink knowledge to provide fine dining level bar service to guests for all events consistent with Lynnwood Convention Center standards. Knowledge of standard and common specialty drink recipes is required. 
    • Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met. 
    • Maintains a professional appearance at all times. 
    • Prepares bar stations in various locations throughout the building.
    • Maintain and control cash registers and alcohol inventory for bar stations in fast paced and pressure situations. Must demonstrate accuracy in inventory and cash handing procedures. 
    • Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area. 
    • Participate in both setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Complete all reports at the end of each shift.
    • Answers all guest questions about food, beverages, and our facility accurately and in a friendly manner. 
    • Other duties as assigned by shift supervisor or managers.

    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands, including the ability to clean up after customers and work areas. 
    • Thorough knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and banquet industry standards of service as well as applicable laws and regulations. 
    • A passion for quality food and beverage service as well as applicable laws and regulations. 
    • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communications, team-building and problem-solving skills are required. 

Qualifications

    • High School diploma or G.E.D or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a bartender in a banquet environment or previous experience at the Lynnwood Convention Center. 
    • Must hold or obtain upon hiring a Washington State Food Workers Card and a MAST Permit Class 12.
    • Must be 21 years or older.

    Salary: $ 18.00 -$20.00 per hour
