Overview

Under general direction from the Operations Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor directs, manages and supervises the custodial and housekeeping activities for the facility. Responsible for routine cleaning and supervising cleaning of all areas of the facility. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct and document meetings on a routine basis (daily, weekly, and monthly) with supervisors discussing building needs, safety concerns, cleaning techniques etc.
  • Delegate and enforce documentation i.e., sign-in sheets, daily routines, equipment checklists verifying paperwork is completed properly and accurately.
  • Perform routine inspections and walkthroughs of all areas within the scope of the housekeeping departments, ensuring that these areas are up to cleaning standards and expectations, documenting and meeting with supervisors on correcting cleaning issues.
  • During walkthroughs/inspections identifying safety or maintenance issues, notifying the proper member/department of the management team to have them corrected.
  • Communicate with management team on housekeeping staffing and project needs based on building usage.
  • Delegate tasks to subordinates in an effective and efficient manner; plan, execute and schedule training as needed.
  • Understand and enforce all OVG 360 policies.
  • Aid with managing the housekeeping of events as needed, which includes but is not limited to post and pre-cleaning for MLB games and non-MLB events.
  • Maintain notes for housekeeping staff to document positive and negative performance, discussing and planning how to improve such issues.
  • Aid other personnel as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Preferred – Minimum 3 years’ experience in housekeeping supervision in a union environment
  • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and processes including but not limited to floor and carpet care, detailing and disinfecting; with the ability to train employees on procedures and expectations.
  • Ability to oversee individuals and groups, directing staff in the performance and operation of equipment and processes needed to complete housekeeping tasks necessary for a major league baseball facility.
  • Ability to lift items potentially weighing more than 25+ lbs.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and select holidays, in addition to traditional business hours, as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
