Under general direction from the Operations Manager, the Housekeeping Manager directs, manages and supervises the custodial and housekeeping activities for the facility. Responsible for routine cleaning and supervising cleaning of all areas of the facility. 


  • Oversees and efficiently uses individuals for the day housekeeping operation, which includes multiple supervisors and a staff of in-house general workers and temporary labor.
  • Direct staff in the execution of the cleaning operation for a major league baseball facility, which includes but is not limited to restroom, premium area, concourse, and seating bowl cleaning.
  • Efficiently manage temporary labor staff, which includes sign in and out process, maximizing their use and role in the housekeeping operation as well as communicating the projected needs of upcoming events with upper management.
  • Coordinate with management team to ensure all documentation is filled out properly, including timesheets, routine sheets, vacation requests, disciplinary action and training forms.
  • Evaluate, train, and motivate staff to work in a safe and efficient manner; complete proper documentation while collaborating with employees to correct deficiencies.
  • Uphold and enforce compliance of OVG 360 policy and procedures and safety standards.
  • Participate and attend union grievance meetings as needed.
  • Perform routine inspections and walkthroughs of all areas within the scope of the Housekeeping Department, throughout the entire cleaning process, ensuring that these areas meet established cleaning standards and expectations; document and meet with the overnight staff to correct outstanding quality control issues.
  • During walkthroughs and inspections identify safety and or maintenance issues; document and communicate these with management through a post shift recap.
  • Communicate with various management members on housekeeping staffing levels and projected needs of the building based on events, space use and projects.
  • Plan, execute, schedule and document training as needed, in coordination with Housekeeping Managers.
  • Maintain daily notes for supervisors and housekeeping staff to document positive and negative employee performance; discuss and plan how to improve such issues, taking the proper action as needed.
  • Possess a full understanding that the duties of this position are performed indoor and outdoor, in all weather conditions and noise levels which vary depending on location and work environments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as well as aiding as needed throughout the operation.


  • Bachelor’s/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in housekeeping management in a large facility.
  • Experience managing and overseeing union staff.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a challenging environment.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and processes including but not limited to floor and carpet care, detailing and disinfecting; with the ability to train employees on procedures and expectations.
  • Working knowledge of custodial equipment including but not limited to Burnishers, Ride-on Auto Scrubbers, KaiVacs and Pressure Washers; with the ability to train employees in procedures and expectations.
  • Required to work irregular hours; overnight, weekends and holidays.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment Must have computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and internet software.
  • Must be initiative-taking with excellent organizational skills.
