The Box Office Manager will direct, manage and supervise all ticket office functions including staffing, cash control, event management and third party/vendor relations.

About the Venue

Cable Dahmer Arena


  • Manage box office operations for approximately 100 events per year
  • Manage and supervise all box office personnel including the Assistant Box Office Manager and Ticket Sellers
  • Balance, deposit and report all daily box office receipts
  • Create and distribute box office sales reports
  • Create and manage annual department budget
  • Establish and review operational policies and procedures for box office operations
  • Act as chief liaison for vendors and customer service inquiries
  • Manage, update and maintain data on barcode server
  • Determine and communicate event management schedule each week
  • Represent the department at weekly company management meetings and other meetings as necessary
  • Select, train, motivate and evaluate personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
  • Work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, extended (long) workdays for an extended number of days as needed


  • High School diploma required
  • A minimum of three (3) years box office experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience with Ticketmaster and Archtix preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized ticket sales
  • Significant successful compatible box office operations experience and/or business experience
  • Excellent skill in developing and managing department budgets
  • Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail
  • Proven effective management of multiple related areas
  • Demonstrated ability and experience developing and coordinating multi-faceted plans and issues
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays
