The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for the efficient, and profitable operation of the catering and retail concessions at the Enercare Centre. This individual will manage some of the fulltime management staff and ensures full compliance with the labor laws, sanitation and food-related ordinances, and alcohol service regulations. In addition to managing the day-to-day F&B business operations, the Director of Food and Beverage works closely with the General Manager on solicit new sources of revenue.


This candidate must have a positive attitude, passion for food and beverage, easily adaptable to any situation, solutionist, and a team leader!



  • Oversee the venues retail/catering operations before, during and after the event
  • Ensure all setups for retail and catering are ready to go before event time
  • Inspect the operation on a regular basis to ensure that the established quality standards are met
  • Review and amend F&B policies & procedures as needed
  • Prepare required reports accurately and submits them on time, follows up with department managers to ensure that their reporting is completed within the same timeline
  • Give the managers clear direction and provide the necessary assistance for them to provide them to perform their jobs
  • Evaluate each manager’s performance and makes recommendations for their areas of improvement
  • Assist in the development of menus and marketing plans with Catering Manager and Chef 
  • Review and amend F&B policies & procedures as needed
  • Oversee scheduling and labor FOH & BOH
  • Required to build and manage a new beverage program for catering and retail concessions
  • Establish and maintain personal relationships with event organizers, suppliers, vendors
  • All other duties as assigned by the Asst. General Manager 


    • Minimum 7 years management experience in food-related or concessions / catering
    • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work
    • Superior attention to detail; first-class organizational skills
    • High energy, positive, professional attitude, takes pride in work
    • Ability to make sound business/operations decisions quickly and under pressure
    • Solid working knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft office, POS systems, timekeeping
    • Strong interpersonal skills required, including excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
