Premium Server, The Founder's Room | Part-Time | The Paramount Baltimore

The Premium Server, The Founder's Room, is responsible for providing attentive food and beverage service to guests in The Founders Room. This role includes greeting guests, explaining menu and beverage offerings, taking and delivering orders, processing payments, and maintaining a polished service environment throughout each shift. The ideal candidates enjoy building rapport with guests, anticipating needs, and delivering efficient, personalized service in an upscale entertainment environment. A successful candidate will combine excellent hospitality skills with strong product knowledge, organization, and the ability to remain composed during busy events.

This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00 and is tip eligible.

The Founder's Room is a private members-only club located inside The Paramount Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland. The club offers members a place to enjoy dining, drinks, and entertainment. Members have access to a private entrance, a members-only bar, private dining rooms, concierge services, early access to tickets and shows, and private events. The Founder's Room provides a space for members to gather before and after concerts and enjoy a dining and entertainment experience.

• Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, personalized service throughout their visit.
• Explain menu items, beverage selections, specials, and available options accurately.
• Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage offerings and answer guest questions confidently.
• Take and enter orders accurately using the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining appropriate presentation standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide timely refills, check-ins, and assistance.
• Coordinate with bartenders, kitchen staff, food runners, and management to ensure efficient service.
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, special requests, and order modifications clearly.
• Process payments accurately and follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and presentable tables and service stations.
• Verify identification and comply with applicable Maryland alcohol service requirements when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Practice responsible alcohol service and follow all venue policies.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and communicate issues to management when appropriate.
• Complete opening duties, closing duties, and side work as assigned.
• Maintain discretion and professionalism when interacting with premium guests.
• Support special events and high-volume service periods while upholding premium service standards.

• Previous serving experience required or strongly preferred, particularly in upscale restaurants, hotels, private clubs, lounges, or premium event venues.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and order accuracy.
• Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for a premium hospitality environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with POS systems and payment processing.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments.
• Must meet all applicable Maryland legal requirements for alcohol service when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Must complete any required venue-specific alcohol awareness or responsible beverage service training.

• Part-time shifts may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and scheduled premium events. Flexibility during peak entertainment periods is important.
