The Server is responsible for providing attentive, professional, and efficient food and beverage service while creating a positive experience for guests. This position will have opportunities to work at events across Regions Arena, the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center, and the Saenger Theatre, supporting a variety of events including concerts, sporting events, conventions, banquets, private events, and other live entertainment. Servers are expected to provide exceptional hospitality, maintain service and cleanliness standards, and work collaboratively with the hospitality team to ensure successful event execution. This team plays a critical role in delivering outstanding food and beverage experiences through catering, concessions, premium hospitality, and suite services. Working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, the team is committed to providing exceptional guest service while supporting operational excellence across our venues. 

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00.

Oak View Group manages three premier entertainment and event venues in Mobile, Alabama: Regions Arena, the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center, and the Saenger Theatre. Together, these venues support a diverse range of concerts, sporting events, conventions, meetings, community gatherings, and live entertainment throughout the region. 

Regions Arena is a state-of-the-art, 10,000-seat entertainment venue currently under construction in downtown Mobile, with a planned opening in early 2027. Designed to become a premier destination for live entertainment and community events along the Gulf Coast, the arena will host professional hockey, concerts, family shows, regional and national sporting events, community gatherings, and events surrounding Mobile’s annual Mardi Gras celebrations. The venue will feature luxury suites, club spaces, loge boxes, and more than 27,000 square feet of flexible multi-purpose and pre-function space. 

The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center is a 317,000-square-foot waterfront facility offering exceptional accommodations for conventions, meetings, trade shows, banquets, and special events. The facility includes a 100,000-square-foot exhibit hall, flexible meeting and event spaces, outdoor terraces, and views of the Mobile River. 

The Saenger Theatre is a historic 1,900-seat performing arts venue welcoming more than 70,000 guests annually. Home to the Mobile Symphony Orchestra, the Saenger hosts concerts, comedy, performing arts, and nationally recognized artists and productions. 

Across all three venues, our teams work in dynamic, event-driven environments focused on exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and creating memorable events for the Mobile community and visitors to the Gulf Coast. 

• Maintains knowledge of menus, daily offerings, event-specific selections, and special items to accurately answer guest questions. 
• Provides prompt, attentive, friendly, and professional food and beverage service while creating a positive guest experience. 
• Serves food and beverage items according to established service standards, ensuring proper presentation and temperature. 
• Sets, maintains, clears, and resets tables and service areas as needed throughout events. 
• Pre-buses and clears tables during service to maintain clean and organized guest areas. 
• Stocks and maintains beverage stations, service areas, and necessary supplies, including ice, glassware, beverages, condiments, and service items. 
• Responds promptly and professionally to guest requests and communicates service needs or concerns to the appropriate team member or supervisor. 
• Maintains a professional appearance and ensures assigned work and service areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready. 
• Communicates and works collaboratively with servers, bussers, bartenders, supervisors, culinary staff, and other hospitality team members to support efficient event execution. 
• Maintains working knowledge of available beverage and bar offerings to accurately respond to guest questions. 
• Follows established food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and venue policies and procedures. 
• Supports hospitality operations across catered events, banquets, premium spaces, suites, and other food and beverage service areas as assigned. 
• Maintains flexibility to work a variable event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak event periods. 
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Education & Experience: 

• Previous experience in food and beverage, hospitality, banquet, catering, or guest service preferred. 
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred. 
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant food service or hospitality experience may be considered. 
• Must obtain and maintain required Food Handler certification, Alcohol Awareness certification, and other required compliance training. 
• Ability to work a flexible, event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak event periods.
