Event Parking Manager | Part-Time | Remote

Reporting to the Director of Parking & Mobility, the Event Parking Manager will oversee all aspects of assigned special events, from advance planning and client coordination through event execution and final settlement. This position will primarily support one-time and non-traditional events that typically take place outside of a standing venue, including music festivals, golf events, fairs, community events, and other large-scale special events. The Event Parking Manager will manage and coordinate event parking operations, staffing, logistics, client communication, and on-site execution to ensure successful and efficient event operations. In addition to advancing assigned events, this position will be responsible for scheduling and supervising part-time parking staff and assisting with the development and implementation of department policies, programs, and procedures. This position will be scheduled on an as-needed basis and will require travel to assigned event locations.

This role pays an hourly rate of $30.00.

• Manage all aspects of assigned events, from advance planning through event execution and final settlement.
• Manage and coordinate parking operations for one-time and non-traditional events, including music festivals, golf events, fairs, community events, and other special events.
• Advance assigned events by coordinating event requirements, parking plans, staffing needs, logistics, and operational details with clients and internal departments.
• Clearly communicate available parking services and explain how services will be coordinated and delivered for each event.
• Assist clients with event logistics and recommend effective parking and operational solutions based on the specific requirements of each event.
• Collaborate with Operations and other internal departments to ensure event plans are executed according to client specifications and applicable fire codes, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
• Review emergency planning procedures with event staff prior to each event.
• Create and distribute detailed Event Data Sheets, diagrams, staffing plans, and other event-related documentation.
• Clear, concise, and timely communication with clients, building staff, vendors, and event partners regarding event requirements and operational needs.
• Update event estimates, as needed, and provide final settlement documentation upon completion of each event.
• Problem-solve, make timely decisions, and delegate responsibilities while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach in high-pressure event environments.
• Recommend and evaluate appropriate event staffing levels based on event size, scope, location, and operational requirements.
• Serve as Manager on Duty as scheduled.
• Hire, train, schedule, manage, and support the performance and development of part-time parking staff, including addressing disciplinary matters and conducting performance evaluations.
• Develop, maintain, and update the Parking Department's Policies and Procedures Manual for inclusion in the overall Events Department manual.
• Lead OVG training and orientation project efforts.
• Complete all duties with a customer service focus through teamwork and dedication to Oak View Group's mission and principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a parking supervisory or management role preferred.
• Previous experience managing and coordinating parking operations or logistics for special events, festivals, golf events, fairs, concerts, conferences, or other large-scale events preferred.
• Experience working in event environments outside of a traditional or permanent venue preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with clients, staff, vendors, and internal departments.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to travel to assigned special event locations as needed.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including long and irregular hours that may vary based on the event calendar and may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of consecutive workdays.
• Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to function effectively and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to identify and respond to the needs of event attendees, clients, and other facility users.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and internet-based software.
• Knowledge of crowd management and control techniques, customer service practices, principles of supervision and training, fire and public safety regulations, parking equipment, and parking technology systems preferred.
