Position Summary

The SVP, Hospitality Operations, oversees venues across an assigned large geographic region. This role is responsible for leading Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) and District General Managers (DGMs) and developing high-performing General Managers while ensuring financial success, operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences, and strong account performance. The SVP maintains positive client relationships and is accountable for driving client retention, account growth, and new business opportunities throughout their region.

 

This executive serves as a strategic business partner focused on strengthening relationships across the broader OVG ecosystem. The SVP actively collaborates with Venue Operations leaders to identify growth opportunities, enhance client value, align business strategies, and deliver integrated solutions that support both Hospitality and Venue objectives. Through these partnerships, the SVP helps expand OVG's presence, drive revenue growth, and create long-term value for clients, guests, and stakeholders. This individual is responsible for the overall management, promotion, and operation of their assigned facilities, including financial performance, talent development, operational execution, and organizational effectiveness.

 

This leader is an orchestrator who builds a vision, a plan, and a team that positions our clients for success, drives account growth, and accelerates OVG overall business objectives. They foster strong cross-functional relationships, champion collaboration between Hospitality and Venue teams, and leverage those partnerships to create new business opportunities and enhance client outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a track record of business development, relationship management, operational leadership, integrity, credibility, and a commitment to OVG's mission.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $220,000-$260,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate consistently and effectively across OVG leadership teams to align business objectives, facilitate open dialogue, and ensure organizational resources are leveraged to achieve regional growth and operational goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain highly productive relationships with clients, venue owners, contract administrators, and Venue Operations leadership through strategic engagement, regular site visits, board presentations, and business reviews to drive retention, satisfaction, and growth.
  • Hold Regional Vice Presidents, DGMs, and General Managers accountable to key business performance metrics, client retention objectives, revenue growth targets, operational excellence standards, and guest experience outcomes.
  • Serve as a strategic business leader and ambassador for OVG by continuously demonstrating and communicating the value of OVG's services, capabilities, and integrated solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with leadership to identify and capitalize on opportunities for new business development, account expansion, enhanced sponsorship and premium offerings, and additional revenue streams within assigned markets.
  • Oversee regional processes related to business planning, deal structure, yield management, contract optimization, and risk assessment to maximize profitability and long-term client value.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with promoters, content providers, venue users, and industry stakeholders to support event growth, venue utilization, and overall market competitiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and pursue new business throughout the region by leveraging the full breadth of OVG's venue, hospitality, and premium service offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and operational standards while identifying opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Represent OVG within industry associations, conferences, and strategic networking events to strengthen market presence, develop business opportunities, and share best practices.
  • Assist RVPs and General Managers in developing, implementing, and monitoring annual business plans, operating budgets, capital investment strategies, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics and conduct regular business reviews with venue leadership to drive accountability, identify opportunities, and improve profitability across the region.
  • Ensure successful financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, asset management, and pricing strategies, including menu development, hospitality offerings, rental structures, and revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Lead and oversee the successful onboarding, integration, and operational launch of new accounts while fostering strong client relationships and positioning each venue for long-term success.
  • Coach and develop Regional Vice Presidents, DGMs, and General Managers to build leadership capability, strengthen business acumen, and create a high-performance culture focused on growth, partnership, and operating excellence.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, facility management, food service management, public administration, hospitality, or related fields. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive and responsible experience working in managed facility, food, and hospitality industries and/or related venue industry experience.
  • 10+ years of managing people leaders that oversee various functions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, etc.
  • Considerable knowledge of event solicitation and presentation; maintenance, custodial, and safety requirements; public relations; advertising and media relations; box office operations; personnel; food and beverage operations; and office management.
  • Working knowledge of governmental administration and responsibilities.
  • Experience with labor unions required.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish immediate credibility through executive leadership presence, financial acumen, operational expertise, relationship-building skills, and uncompromising integrity.
  • Proven ability to build strategic partnerships across hospitality, venue operations, and corporate functions to drive business growth, improve client outcomes, and execute organizational priorities.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management capabilities, including identifying growth opportunities, expanding accounts, and delivering long-term value to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence, engage, and collaborate effectively with venue executives, clients, property owners, promoters, corporate partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Skilled at resolving conflict, building alignment, and fostering collaboration among diverse teams in support of shared organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change initiatives and driving commitment to OVG's mission, strategic priorities, and culture of innovation.
  • Proven ability to attract, develop, retain, and motivate high-performing leaders and teams within a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, balance multiple priorities, and execute effectively in a dynamic growth-oriented business environment.
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and revenue optimization.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and investing strategically in talent, systems, and operational improvements.
  • Ability to anticipate market trends, identify opportunities and risks, and proactively implement strategies that drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
