Position Summary

The Executive Steward plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and efficiency in all food and beverage operations within Allegiant Stadum and Oak View Group. This position oversees a large team of hourly part-time stewards, ensuring seamless back-of-house operations for all events, including NFL games, concerts, and special functions. As a key member of the stadium’s operations team, the Executive Steward is responsible for managing staffing, training, and compliance with health and safety regulations while driving operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $75,000 to $95,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a large, part-time, union stewarding team, ensuring adequate staffing levels for all stadium events.
  • Lead, train, and develop team members to maintain efficiency, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all kitchens, pantries, concession areas, and food service spaces meet cleanliness and sanitation standards before, during, and after events.
  • Collaborate with culinary and concessions teams to support seamless event execution.
  • Maintain and track all back-of-house equipment, ensuring proper use and preventive maintenance.
  • Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment.
  • Enforce food safety protocols, including HACCP guidelines, OSHA regulations, and local health codes.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety standards.
  • Train and educate staff on proper hygiene, equipment handling, and emergency procedures.
  • Develop and execute stewarding plans for all stadium events, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Work closely with event managers, catering teams, and third-party vendors to coordinate stewarding support.
  • Respond promptly to operational challenges and proactively implement solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in stewarding, facilities management, or food service operations, preferably in a high-volume sports, entertainment, or hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to manage large, diverse teams in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong understanding of sanitation procedures, food safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in stadiums, arenas, convention centers, or large-scale event venues.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and stewarding technology/software.
  • Basic computer proficiency: E-mail, Excel, Word, Outlook, Schedule+.
  • Basic math skills including significant number manipulation.
  • Ability to work a variable work schedule (including evenings and weekends, as
    required), depending upon event and business requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess valid SNHD food handling card, Alcohol Awareness or equivalent, and
    ability to obtain a non-gaming work card (Sheriff's Card).
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
