Position Summary

The Programming Sales Manager oversees front-of-house operations and public programming sales to ensure an efficient and positive guest experience. This role manages cashiering operations, skate rentals, snack bar sales, and other direct-to-consumer transactions while maintaining accurate cash-handling, reconciliation, and reporting procedures. The Programming Sales Manager supervises, schedules, and trains cashier and guest service staff while maintaining strong service standards and operational efficiency. The Programming Sales Manager also supports the development and daily operations of the arena snack bar as an additional revenue stream. The Director of Food & Beverage assists with inventory and ordering, while this role focuses on sales performance, operations, and guest service. As the department grows, the Programming Sales Manager will periodically assist with front-counter and cashier duties during weekday shifts while maintaining full managerial oversight of staffing, scheduling, and operations.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $45,000-$50,000 and is commission eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee sales and service operations for public programming, skate rentals, and the snack bar.
  • Manage daily and event based front-of-house operations and supervise cashier and guest service staff.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and coordinate payroll for front-office staff.
  • Maintain high service standards and operational efficiency at the front counter.
  • Coordinate bookings for birthday parties, hospitality rooms, and group skating events.
  • Prepare event information sheets and coordinate party staffing and setup requirements.
  • Review and reconcile daily sales, deposits, and financial reports.
  • Support snack bar operations, including sales tracking and coordination with Food & Beverage for inventory and ordering.
  • Monitor sales trends and implement strategies to increase participation and retail revenue.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office, snack bar, hospitality spaces, and front-of-house areas.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to promote arena programming.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty during events as scheduled with Director of the Rink.

Qualifications

  • Supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Cash-handling and customer service experience required.
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in retail and/or F&B experience ideal.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, required.
