Position Summary

The Marketing and Sales Manager supports the Director of Marketing in the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies and group sales efforts across all American Bank Center venues, including the arena, auditorium, and convention center. This position plays a key role in driving revenue through advertising, digital marketing, public relations, promotions, and select group sales initiatives. Also, assisting in graphic design, interactive media, ticketing analysis, and grassroots efforts for events as assigned.

 

Working as part of a collaborative marketing team, the Marketing & Sales Manager will help elevate the brand, increase ticket sales, and engage the local community.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $45,000-$55,000

About the Venue

Located on the bay in downtown Corpus Christi, American Bank Center is the premier entertainment and convention venue in South Texas. Home to 10,000 seat arena, the historic Selena Auditorium, and a versatile convention center, the complex hosts a wide range of events - from concerts, comedy shows, and sporting events to conventions, trade shows, weddings, and special events. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing strategic marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, enhance venue visibility, and support promoters and event partners.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing, advertising and group sales campaigns for all concerts, family shows, sporting events and other miscellaneous events at American Bank Center.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing with media planning and placement as needed, including gathering creative assets, communication deadlines, and tracking deliverables.
  • Manage all group sales efforts by identifying and servicing select clients such as schools, scouts, businesses, and other community groups.
  • Support event-day marketing operations, including media coordination, house photography, artist gift preparation, front and back of house experiences, and other on-site responsibilities as needed.
  • Manage and lead content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking across all social media platforms to grow online engagement and event awareness.
  • Maintain and update the American Bank Center website, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and optimized for user experience and search.
  • Build, deploy, and analyze targeted email campaigns using TM1; grow and segment the email database to improve conversions and engagement.
  • Conduct market research including post-show surveys, purchaser trends, and focus groups to better understand and engage target audiences.
  • Cultivate relationships with community organizations, local influencer's, and grassroots partners to support street team and promotional outreach.
  • Design and produce marketing materials and signage using Adobe Creative Suite for internal departments, sponsor activations, and venue events.
  • Monitor and report on marketing and social media analytics to measure ROI and inform future strategies.
  • Manage content for all in-house digital assets, including screens and outdoor marquees, aligning with current event priorities and sponsor commitments.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of special event activations such as giveaways, pre-show parties, and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with promoters, tenants, and partners to ensure fulfillment of marketing deliverables and preparation of letter agreements when needed.
  • Assist as a spokesperson for the venue during media opportunities, including TV and radio interviews, to promote events and enhance public visibility.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field required.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably within a sports venue, convention center, performing arts venue, or similar public assembly facility.
  • Experience in group sales or ticketing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools to evaluate performance and ROI.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Creative, solutions-oriented, and detail-focused.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
  • Experience in media buying, digital advertising, and promotional campaigns.
  • Knowledge of local market trends, audience demographics, and event marketing strategies.
  • Able to work flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays as needed.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Placer Ai, or other data platforms.
