Position Summary

The Youth Hockey Coach reports to the Director of Youth Hockey (RRYHA) and assists, when needed, with all RRYHA programs. This role requires initiative and teamwork to promote skill development, ensure safety, and foster an inclusive environment for players and families.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00-$15.00.

This position will remain open until September 26, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Director of Youth Hockey with on-ice instruction during RRYHA Programs (Learn to Play, In-House Leagues, Try Hockey for Free, Summer Camps, and Clinics).
  • Continue coaching development through USA Hockey Coaching Certifications and Coaching Education Program (CEP).
  • Help design practice plans, and drills for specific programs.
  • Lead small groups of players through drills, and adapt when necessary.
  • Ensure all instruction supports age-appropriate skill development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in ice-related youth sports, playing and/or coaching.
  • USA Hockey coaching certification required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to youth sports development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
