Position Summary

Reporting to the Concessions Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for working onlondside the Warehouse Crew to ensure the effective running of venue distribution/warehouse operations including inventory, receiving, lay-ins, clean-up and equipment maintenance. They must assist the Concessions Warehouse Manager with event oversight and operational/personnel support to ensure the smooth running of (or preparation for) any assigned event. The Warehouse Lead will actively supervise, coach, counsel, direct, train and mentor employees in meeting company quality standards, and help lead all aspects of employee relations to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant and cooperative work environment.

 

This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. They must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and strong management and independent decision-making skills are required. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00 to $19.00 plus tips

About the Venue

The Ford Idaho Center is a complex of entertainment venues: the Arena, the Amphitheater and the Horse Park / Sports Center.

 

The Nampa Civic Center is an event venue for conferences, concerts, and trade shows, with an intimate theater.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and helps manage sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
  • Provides direction to part-time warehouse staff to ensure all established lay-ins are completed for each event, in addition to requisitioning during events, post-event break down, warehouse returns, equipment storage, sanitation and maintenance.
  • Receives vendor deliveries, verifies proper specification, size, quantity, etc. of goods received; supervises proper labeling, dating and stocking of supplies.
  • Helps oversee and ensures that appropriate stocking levels are met for each event; rotates and maintains integrity of product.
  • Willing and able to physically move product between venues; helps ensure proper transfer process, including follow-up documentation.
  • In tandem with the Concessions Warehouse Manager, walks through of the concessions outlets, warehouse and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
  • Performs other duties as required. This list of responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1+ years foodservice/hospitality experience; similar venue experience highly preferred.
  • Forklift certification required (must be able to obtain).
  • Food service certification a plus.

Physical Dimensions:

Performing the duties of this position involves extensive and continuous standing and walking. Routine activities require the employee to be able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include the ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision and close vision.
