The Director of Human Resources is a representative for the Corporate People and Culture team, overseeing the HR function for all three lines of OVG business at the University of Kansas. This is a venue leadership position reporting directly to the General Manager (GM). This role involves aligning key strategic and business objectives with employees and management while ensuring OVG policy adherence. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance management, Collective Bargaining Agreement oversight, employee recruitment, retention, and development, policy implementation, training, benefits administration, and employee relations. As a trusted consultant, the Director of Human Resources collaborates with the Venue Management and Hospitality management teams, addressing HR needs. The role serves as an advocate for employees, a catalyst for change, and a strategic resource for the leadership team.
This role pays an annual salary of $90,000 to $105,000 and is bonus eligible.

This position will remain open until August 15, 2025.
In its new partnership with the University of Kansas (KU), OVG will oversee the day-to-day operations of both the football stadium and conference center when Phase I of the Gateway District opens in August, 2025. The group will lead the bookings of conference events, special events and concerts, while operating a full-service performing dining center for Kansas Athletics and all food and beverage/catering operations at the complex.
