Position Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the food & beverage serving of guests in the arena at various concessions stands, bars, and portable food & beverage locations..  The Concessions Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing fast-paced environment. The Concessions Supervisor will assist the Concessions Manager and the rest of the OVG leadership team with projects including training, inventory and special events.

 

The Concessions Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $28.00.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Conduct monthly inventory counts and weekly audits to verify accurate stock levels and ensure operational readiness.
  • Oversee the stocking and organization of concessions on the concourse, focusing on efficiency and guest accessibility.
  • Assures that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event.
  • Order Management: Communicate orders effectively to the Senior Concessions Manager, providing timely and accurate product counts to preemptively address shortages and maintain smooth inventory flow.
  • Setup and Market Sampling: Execute thorough market sampling and set up concession areas prior to events, ensuring food items are properly positioned and presented for optimal guest service.
  • Food Safety Compliance: Ensure that all food service areas are clean, properly maintained, and compliant with health and safety regulations to create a safe environment for staff and patrons.
  • Problem Resolution: Actively identify and communicate any operational challenges during shifts to the Senior Concessions Manager, to complete the implementation of effective solutions to enhance service efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and operational tasks, ensuring transparency and accountability in inventory management.
  • Ability to obtain working knowledge of all existing concession locations: geographical locations, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas and facility access.
  • Promote a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative workplace environment by working side-by-side with staff and volunteers; reinforce procedures and practices through repetition; lead by example and provide on-going constructive feedback.
  • Ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination; immediately address all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents or incidents. Relays safety/health issues to management immediately.
  • Assists Management team with projects including training, inventory and special events.
  • NFP Coordinator: Coordinate with all NFP volunteer groups to ensure adherence to company cleanliness standards, service guidelines, and legal requirements.
  • Enforce all SOPs as relates to the check-in and post event maintenance of NFP service locations.
  • All other duties as assigned by the managers and supervisors.

 

 

Qualifications

  • At Least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
