Position Summary

The Parking Attendant will be tasked with providing the highest level of customer service for guests at the Blue Arena and The Ranch parking lots to further increase their overall event experience. You would be responsible for your post location and all things involved with ingress and egress of your scheduled parking event.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.50.

 

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

About the Venue

Blue Arena is a 6,500 seat multi-purpose venue that is host to a variety of family shows, rodeos, comedy events concerts and the AHL affiliate Colorado Eagles. The Pedersen Toyota Center is host to trade shows, conferences, meetings, banquets and many other types of flat floor events. The MAC Equipment Inc. Indoor Arena hosts a variety of local, regional and national equine and livestock events including the PRCA Mountain States Circuit Finals. Our outdoor space at The Ranch is ideal for festivals, concerts, car shows, outdoor trade shows, and our very own, Larimer County Fair & PRCA Rodeo! 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and helpful directions to patrons into and out of the parking lots.
  • Keep a calm and inviting demeaner when interacting with patrons throughout the entirety of the event.
  • Always maintain a safe environment for you and the guests.
  • Enforcing all Oak view groups policies and procedures.
  • Prepare for each event by acquiring all pertinent show information.
  • Moving patrons through the entry points and parking lot as quickly and safely as possible.
  • When patrons are walking into the venue, try to help enforce the clear bag policy.
  • Directing patrons through the proper entrances and areas that are allowed for public access.
  • Asking and utilizing event supervisors and management staff for assistance whenever needed and reporting all suspicious behavior.
  • Greet and provide direction and assistance to premium parking guests while directing them to the correct access point.
  • Greet incoming guests and accommodate their needs and requests.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, nights, weekends, evenings, and holidays, with extended hours ranging from a minimum of 3 hours up to 10 hours.
  • Prior traffic experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • General knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Must have the ability to work outdoors, be exposed to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold, dust, dirt, extreme noise and potentially hazardous materials.
  • Ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, stooping and kneeling without restrictions.
  • Effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in written form.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
