Position Summary

Operations Assistants will help with Facility and Housekeeping departments in coordination, execution and completion of various tasks and checklists for Citizens Bank Park. The candidate will also assist training and supervision of staff, scheduling, office work, and deployment and supervising during events.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00.

About the Venue

Citizens Bank Park is a professional baseball stadium located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the city's South Philadelphia Sports Complex. It is the ballpark of Major League Baseball's Philadelphia Phillies. Each year we have the pleasure of hosting multiple non baseball events each year, including concerts, trade shows, corporate events, charity walks, etc.

Responsibilities

  • ­­Assist Operations Managers and Coordinators in coordinating various types of events, including but not limited to, Baseball Games, Concerts, Weddings, and other non baseball events.
  • Assist with incident and work order tracking.
  • Answer, screen and direct incident/maintenance calls.
  • Assist Operations Managers and Coordinators in supervision of event staff including deployment for events and supervising tasks.
  • Handle routine inquiries and maintain game day log of calls.
  • Assist in purchasing, tracking and distribution of all supplies purchased for entire department.
  • Perform general administrative functions including faxing, photocopying, mail distribution, bulk mailings.
  • Assist with various event / non-game event related duties as needed, including tracking work and costs.
  • Track work completed for non-client departments located in facility.
  • Relay facility management issues to foreman/supervisors on-site.
  • Troubleshoot potential problems/issues in facility prior to events.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management.
  • Help Maintain Inventory of all department Supplies: Staff Shirts, Radios, wristbands, etc.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple assignment and the ability to function and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in word processing and related applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
  • Must demonstrate a positive, professional and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
