Position Summary

The Dome in Virginia Beach is looking for dedicated and hardworking Dishwashers/Utility Workers to join our culinary team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen operation for concerts, private events, and high-volume food service. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to upholding the highest sanitation standards.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00-$19.00.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing stations, kitchen areas, and storage spaces.
  • Assist with general kitchen duties, including trash removal, floor cleaning, and stocking supplies.
  • Help with food prep tasks as needed, such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients.
  • Ensure all workstations remain clean, stocked, and ready for service.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic work environment.
  • Assist with kitchen setup and breakdown before and after events.
  • Safely operate dishwashing machines, sinks, and other cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures (training will be provided).
