The Chief Engineer inspects facilities and equipment to determine need and extent of service, equipment required, and type and number of operation and maintenance personnel needed to perform such duties.
This role pays an hourly wage of $77.65 to $80.03
Benefits as per the union agreement.

The Santa Clara Convention Center is proudly owned by The City of Santa Clara and managed by Oak View Group. QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Ability to work various workdays and hours to meet business needs including early/late hours, long days, weekends and holidays. In addition, must be able to come in to work if called for emergency at any time.
Must be reliable and punctual.
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and article for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to speak effectively to customers, clients, and employees of the organization including management, and public groups.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift, Aerial Platform Lift and valid California Drivers License
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ladder, Forklift and scissor lift, etc.
