Position Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the food & beverage serving of guests in the arena at various concessions stands, bars, and portable food & beverage locations. The Concessions Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing fast-paced environment.  The Concessions Supervisor will assist the Concessions Manager and the rest of the OVG leadership team with projects including training, inventory and special events.

 

  • The Concessions Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work event as scheduled per business need.
  • Shifts are Thursday - Sunday. Time will vary based on buisness needs.
  • This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.27 to $19.00.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the operations of concession stands and performs a variety of concessions duties while providing a pleasant guest experience
  • Set a positive, productive, and communicative tone as a leader in the department
  • Supervisors are required to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the organization, this includes providing direction to teams, timely feedback to managers for a more effective process
  • Manages the operations of multiple concession stands, while assisting team members and maintaining a safe environment throughout operating hours
  • Greets, directs, and responds to guest’s questions and needs
  • Understands menu offerings, presentation and pricing
  • Ensures proper product control and handling of inventory and equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Supervisor shall be able to write reports at end of shift
  • Recognize what has to be taught to servers and take required time to do so
  • Take pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policy
  • Working in a team environment with the ability to be team player
  • Ensure all guests receive a positive and remarkable experience
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
  • Assist other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate
  • Ensure that all employees are following Uniform Policy
  • Assure that every employee is doing their job correctly, if disciplinary action is needed; Operation Manager must be informed to make final call.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the team member will regularly be required to: Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required

Qualifications

  • 2 + years acting as a Supervisor or similar role in hospitality, food + beverage environments
  • Available to work Thursday - Sunday in month of May
  • Must have RBS alcohol certificate required by Law
  • Must have CA food handlers certificate required by state law
  • Must have knowledge of various beers, wines and spirits
  • Must maintain excellent attendance
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team-orientated environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time, work long hours if needed
  • Excellent customer service and strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to give and follow direction as well as manage staff
  • Demonstrate initiative and work effectively under pressure
  • Capable of working as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Adaptable to a changing environment
  • Professionalism and radio etiquette
