Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor will support the Director and General Manager of Food & Beverage in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Convention Center's food and beverage services, from banquets and catering to concessions style events. The F&B Operations Supervisor will actively supervise, coach, counsel, direct, train and mentor employees in meeting company and venue quality standards. The F&B Operations Supervisor will actively and independently manage all aspects of employee relations to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $26 to $30.

About the Venue

The Palm Beach County Convention Center is a versatile event space in West Palm Beach, Florida, featuring a 100,000 square-foot exhibit hall, a 22,000 square-foot ballroom, 21,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, and a direct connection to the 400-room Hilton West Palm Beach.

Qualifications

  • At Least 1-2 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage, catering, or banquet environment.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid ServeSafe Food Handling certificate and Alcohol Service Certification.
