Position Summary

The Premium Sales Coordinator is responsible for providing excellent customer service to enhance the customer’s experience. Thorough knowledge of sales and customer service is required.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $20 to $22.

About the Venue

Fifth Third Park will be one of the newest and most state-of-the-art minor league baseball and entertainment facilities in the country! The ballpark will be located in downtown Spartanburg, SC and will be the home to the Hub City Spartanburgers, an MiLB affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Fifth Third Park will play host to 66 professional baseball games per season, but it will operate well beyond baseball, and will also be utilized for other events including concerts, festivals, comedy shows, amateur sports, community gatherings and private functions. The facility will be able to welcome over 5,000 fans on game days and over 10,000 guests when operating concerts and other mass gathering events.

Responsibilities

  • Managing events from onset, including meeting with customers, creating necessary paperwork, and being the customer’s go-to person while planning all F&B aspects of the event
  • Creating and distributing Banquet Event Orders as assigned.
  • Covering events as assigned.
  • Assisting with large events alongside Catering Manager/ Dir.
  • Attending/taking notes during Team Meetings.
  • Answering the Catering Sales office phone line and managing all messages for Catering Sales Managers as needed.
  • Finalizing/distributing invoices for all events.
  • Coordinating with our small business partners and vendors for event deliveries and pick-ups, etc.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates proficiency and successful experience in catering sales generation, contract negotiation, event scheduling, catering, banquets and menu development.
  • Work independently with little supervision. Self-starter.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on creating word documents, Excel spreadsheets, email).
  • Adhere to high standard of business etiquette, professional verbal and written communication.
  • Consistently represent the Company in a professional, positive and knowledgeable manner.
  • Ability to adhere to highest standard of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Demonstrates ability to produce detail-oriented, accurate work.
  • Ability to work an event driven schedule which may include evenings, weekends and holidays. 
  • Makes solid, appropriate and independent decisions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and accommodate on-site changes.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to use proactive planning strategies to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Superior customer service.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S) or equivalent from four-year college; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 or more years in a sales role, with verifiable sales success.
