Position Summary

The Suites and Catering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in the suites and club area. The Suites and Catering Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. They will assist the Premium Manager with projects including training, inventory and special events. This role must maintain excellent attendance and be available for work events as scheduled per business needs.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $16 to $18.

About the Venue

Baseball is back in Columbus! Synovus Park will be located in downtown Columbus, GA, and will be the home of the Columbus Clingstones, a MiLB affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. This inaugural season, Synovus Park will host 69 professional baseball games.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setting up of food and beverage service areas within the premium club and suites based on event needs.
  • Ensure all premium-level operations are prepared and meet quality and hospitality standards before events.
  • Supervise team members during baseball games and special events, maintaining a positive atmosphere for staff and guests.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, inventory control, and product requisitions, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Enforce safe alcohol service policies, including verifying guest ID, observing intoxication levels, and taking action when necessary.
  • Maintain and ensure proper setup of club functions, including linens, dishware, and equipment, while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and clients to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Assist management with policy enforcement, employee training, inventory management, and special projects.
  • Provide excellent guest service by observing and responding to additional requests and supervising beverage service.
  • Practice effective employee management, including coaching, counseling, and completing HR-related documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 12 hours.
  • An ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner, which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations. 

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment.
