Position Summary

The Director of Premium at Fifth Third Park oversees the planning, development, and execution of all premium food and beverage offerings within the venue. This role ensures that fans experience top-tier service, innovative menus, and high-quality food and beverage options in premium areas such as suites, club sections, and hospitality areas. The director will be responsible for managing a team of culinary professionals and service staff, creating memorable dining experiences, and maximizing revenue through the strategic implementation of premium food and beverage programs.

 

This role pays a yearly salary of $80,000 to $85,000.

About the Venue

Fifth Third Park will be one of the newest and most state-of-the-art minor league baseball and entertainment facilities in the country! The ballpark will be located in downtown Spartanburg, SC and will be the home to the Hub City Spartanburgers, an MiLB affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Fifth Third Park will play host to 66 professional baseball games per season, but it will operate well beyond baseball, and will also be utilized for other events including concerts, festivals, comedy shows, amateur sports, community gatherings and private functions. The facility will be able to welcome over 5,000 fans on game days and over 10,000 guests when operating concerts and other mass gathering events. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision and strategy for premium food and beverage offerings, enhancing the overall guest experience for VIP clients and suite holders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing, and sales) to ensure seamless service delivery in all premium areas.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of diverse food and beverage menus, ensuring they meet the expectations of upscale clientele.
  • Manage relationships with food and beverage vendors, ensuring the highest quality products and consistency in service.
  • Develop and implement budgets, forecasting food and beverage costs, pricing strategies, and revenue goals.
  • Train, supervise, and inspire a team of culinary and service staff, ensuring excellence in service and adherence to safety and health regulations.
  • Analyze guest feedback and sales data to continuously improve offerings, service quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all premium food and beverage experiences align with the overall branding and atmosphere of the MiLB stadium.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in food and beverage management, with a focus on premium or hospitality services in sports, entertainment, or high-end dining environments.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends, as well as budgeting and cost control.
  • Experience with event planning and catering for large groups and VIP clients.
