This position reports directly to the Event Operations Manager and is responsible for supervision and direction of electrical/water service setup and housekeeping staff team and temporary labor employees in their duties of general building cleaning, as well as event room/hall set-ups and breakdowns as required for the Miami Beach Convention Center, campus and associated exteriors parcels (Pride Park, Collins Canal Park, Venu & Rum Room).
This role pays an hourly rate of $19 to $21.

Supervises a talented team of utility workers and part-time temporary labor workers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with OVG policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The Event Operations Supervisor works in indoor and outdoor work settings with mild to adverse exposure to environmental hazards. The incumbent must be able to climb stairs and ladders and walk long distances to access all areas of the facility. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild to loud. Incumbents in this position work in varying settings and will be subject to noise and some atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odor, dust, etc.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The work schedule for this position is driven by business demands, event operations, and project requirements. Candidates must be able to work extended hours and have a flexible schedule, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Availability to support operations across a 7-day workweek may occasionally be necessary.
