The Maintenance Technician is responsible for effective preventative and planned maintenance of site assets as well as troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry at our venue. This position may work a planned assignment or be needed to respond to an emergency or call. With many facilities and all built in different timre frames we are responisble for equipmet for a variety of manufactures and even a variety of types, For HVAC some buildings are on the Campus Chilled Water and steam loops, some have chillers, or Boilers and HW heaters, and we have a number of split systems and small units for different spaces. As a result, understanding how the systems work is likely more important than understanding a secific kind of unit.
This role will pay a yearly hourly of $19 to $22.00.

University of Houston Athletics venues include the Football Stadium (TDECU Stadium), Basketball Arena (Fertitta Center), Baseball Stadium (Schroeder Park, and well as a number of other competition and training facilities. Univeristy of Houston is a memeber of the Big 12 Conference. The facilities include administrative, training and competition functions and can host up to 40,000 people in the stadium for Football Games and nearly 8,000 for Basketball Games in the arena. over 400 student athleties, over 100 coaches and a couple hundred support staff and administrative personnnel use the venues 12 jmonths a year.
