Oversees the Box Office and Ticket Sellers during events. In addition to supervising the Ticket Sellers, this position provides ticketing, guest services, and event support, including processing special ticket orders, interacting with promoters, ticket service reps and tour personnel. Serve customers and handle difficult customer service issues.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $22.15

As a leading entertainment venue, PPG Paints Arena is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania, and home to the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists at the Box Office for ticket resolution when needed during events, demonstrating excellent
customer service by handling difficult customer service or ticketing issues. Process ticket orders as needed.
Interacts with promoters, ticket service representatives and tour personnel; create accurate complimentary ticket logs, manage tour and VIP Will Call; assist with chair set and floor labeling as needed.
Supervise Ticket Sellers to ensure that proper selling procedures are followed. Counsel and/or disciplines Ticket Sellers if a performance issue arises.
Update and coordinate all event information for Ticket Sellers.
Open and close Box Office as required.
Answer questions efficiently and courteously concerning pricing, seating and upcoming events.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Ticket Sellers during events. Assists with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Box Office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Oak View Group policies and applicable laws. Assists in training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ticketing experience in sports and entertainment preferred
Skills and Abilities
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with promoters, the public and fellow staff members
Knowledge of supervisory principles and practice; ability to coordinate staffing
Proficient with MS Office Programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Experience with computerized ticket system preferred
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work flexible schedule as needed, including weekends, evenings and holidays
Must have professional attitude and appearance
Prior Box Office experience preferred
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with MS Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook). Experience in computerized ticket systems preferred.
No certifications are required.
