Oak View Group is currently searching for a full-time Sports Turf Manager for the Grounds Department at Subaru Park, home to the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer and the Philadelphia Union II. The Grounds Department is responsible for the upkeep of Subaru Park, WSFS Bank Sportsplex, The Union Powerplant, and surrounding landscapes.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $23.87.

This position will remain open until 12/31/2024.
● The Sports Turf Manager will lead a crew of FT and PT staff to maintain 5 Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass pitches, 4 artificial fields and all surrounding landscapes.
● Scout for disease and insect issues on fields and in landscapes
● Assist the Head Sports Turf Manager with implementing the agronomic program toinclude, mowing, field painting, fertilizing, aeration, topdressing, and pesticide applications
● Oversee MLS Pitch Testing Program
● Responsible for painting and field setup for all outside events at the Sportsplex
● Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment
● Bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred.
● Experience with professional or college sports preferred
● Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a sense of accountability.
● Ability to work productively under pressure and be consistently proactive.
● Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays when required. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
