Position Summary

This is a part-time traveling role providing concession support in the West region to new OVG Hospitality accounts. Within our fast-growing business, the Onboarding Support Specialist is an experienced food service operator at the direction of the Corporate and Regional Leadership team to assisting with onboarding new F&B accounts and working large events within the company standards of culinary safety, presentation, and culture.

This role is part-time,please note that any periods of downtime between assignments are unpaid.

 

The Onboarding Support Specialist will travel as needed to an OVG account and prepare the venue for opening. This role will prepare the Concession stands and staff as directed by the RVP of the account. This role is the liaison between corporate leadership and thenew venue team, responsible for  training on concessions menu and stand operations,with the goal of delivering world-class service at our venues.

 

This position will report directly to, and be managed by, the Regional Vice President of the West Region.  

 

This part-time role will pay an hourly wage of $30.00-35.00.

Responsibilities

  • Tour and audit the existing concession stands for equipement and inventory. Document needs and issues. 
  • Execute all concession decisions made by the RVP/General Manager. 
  • Assemble new concession equipement, train new Managers on maintenance and cleaning.
  • Stock supplies and take inventory. 
  • Recommend staffing levels for stands by event attendance.
  • Train existing staff on proper set-up and tear down of the stands to OVG standards, including sanitation and food safety requirements (including documentation)
  • Understand and explain concession menu items to staff, preparing the stand for product displays, food pricing, common equipement issues and resolution. 
  • Help set up new POS system with the IT team, train staff on the new system.
  • Assist the venue team with pre-opening checklists and implementation plans, suggest areas of improvement. 
  • Provide hands-on event support for opening 
  • Promote OVG's committments to sustainability and world class customer service

 

Work location: You will be required to travel to, and work at other OVG venues as directed by the business needs. All approved travel expenses will be paid for, including transportation and accommodations. This role may also include short-notice travel requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associates degree from an accredited college/university with major course work in Culinary Arts, Food Service Operations, or related field required
  • 3+ years experience working in Concessions, preferably in Supervisor or Lead roles.
  • Team player with a problem solving mindset.
  • Experience in training multiple staff members in Concessions
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills and comfortable interacting with public and leadership teams. 
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and quickly changing priorities
