Position Summary

Peak is hiring a Concessions Manager to join our Team.

 

The Concessions Manager manages and understands concessions operations including inventory controls, product ordering, training new employees, compliance with alcohol service polices, cleaning, safety, guest service, employee/volunteer training and supervision, troubleshooting, closing duties, event planning support, and any other tasks assigned by the General Manager. 

 

The Concessions Manager must provide a high level of operation oversight, technical proficiency and operational/personnel support to ensure the smooth operation of the Concessions Dept.

The Concessions Manager will actively supervise, coach, counsel, direct, and train Concession Attendants in meeting company quality standards, and may initiate or recommend employment actions such as hiring, termination, suspension, discipline, promotion and transfer.

 

The Concessions Manager will provide oversight and resolution responsibility for employee performance issues in collaboration with the Senior Concessions Manager and/or GM. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable operation-driven schedule including evenings and weekends.  Flexible availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction and strong technical (computer and POS) aptitude are required. 

 

This role pays a yearly salary of $65,000.

About the Venue

Peak is a premium restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards, in a State-of-the-Art building with panoramic views and situated above Edge, the highest outdoor observation deck in the city. A luxurious destination with breath-taking views of lower New York City.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • The Concession Manager will recruit, induct, retain and develop staff to enhance the values of customer service.
  • Actively supervise, coach, counsel, direct, and train Concession Attendants in meeting company quality standards.
  • Manage daily bar operations for the Edge by Peak. Oversee multiple bars in a high-volume environment.
  • Facilitate Peak Events setup and breakdown in association with the Peak Event Venue Management Team.
  • Work in concert with Edge operators in daily day to day business.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships, processing complaints, and responding to customer needs.
  • Manage policies, targets, and KPIs.
  • Maintain all service equipment and flagging issues as necessary.
  • Understand all aspects of ordering, food, and beverage inventory and complete in a timely manner under direction of Beverage Director and GM.
  • Coordinate with Marketing on Special Beverage offerings and brand activations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Be knowledgeable about the most updated laws and guidelines and communicate this information to the staff.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 year of experience in a food and beverage management position, preferably in concessions environment, and/or bar management. 
  • Stadium, arena and/or concert venue experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Micros POS is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Furniture moving and organizing.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
