Position Summary

The Senior Finance Manager will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the Brulee and Rhubarb Hospitality Collection. Reporting to the Director of Finance. The Finance Manager will oversee a range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, closing the books, consolidating financial results, and managing accounts receivable and payable.

 

This role pays a yearly wage of $70,000 to $85,000.

About the Venue

OVG's Rhubarb Hospitality Collection and Brulee are an international Premium Hospitality Collection specialising in luxury event catering, iconic restaurant dining and location hospitality. This role be working closing with the teams and their venues throughout RHC and Brulee's Philidelphia, PA portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Accounting and Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare financial statements, including monthly statements, annual budget, and annual reports.
    • Oversee and assist in closing the books and consolidating financial results.
    • Perform and/or supervise accounts payable and receivable processes.
    • Ensure accuracy of general ledger coding and post original entries.
    • Reconcile bank statements and select balance sheet accounts.
    • Conduct cost analyses and rate studies.
    • Oversee document coding and reconcile sales reports to month-end postings.
    • Provide accounting support to various departments and coordinate with them on labor allocation costs.
  • Financial Systems and Controls:
    • Establish system controls for new financial systems and improve existing procedures.
    • Safeguard company assets through close monitoring of accounting procedures and conduct audits as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations in accounting and audit work.
  • External Relations and Reporting:
    • Coordinate the preparation of external audit materials and financial reporting.
    • Work with auditors to verify financial information and procedures.
    • Manage the calculation and reporting of sales tax, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
    • Provide general office and administrative support as needed.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a closely related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting, finance or comparable work experience, supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Hospitality industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), accounting software  experience is a plus (Sage, NetSuite, PeopleSoft Financials, ADP Payroll software).
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of organization, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
