Position Summary

The Tax Director is responsible for managing the filings/payments of all Company taxes, including income, sales and use, excise, and property taxes and ensuring overall compliance with requisite tax laws and regulations.

 

This role will pay a salary of $160,000 to $200,000 and is bonus eligible.

This position will remain open until Dec 31, 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the preparation and review of all Company tax filings and payments including sales and use, excise, property, and income taxes
  • Develop long-term compliance strategy and spearheads in-house taxation efforts
  • Support global business growth through contract review and tax optimization
  • Implement changes to business processes to bolster compliance and mitigate risk
  • Serves as a primary liaison for third parties assisting with tax filings and licensing requirements
  • Manages and oversees all tax audits
  • Research upcoming tax regulations to determine the overall impact to the Company
  • Develops and implements tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and penalties for the Company

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in tax accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Master’s degree in taxation or CPA preferred
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Self-starter with ability to solve ambiguous and open-ended business challenges
