The Coat Check Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service by managing the coat check area at events, ensuring the safety and security of guests' belongings. This role involves greeting patrons, efficiently checking in and out coats and personal items, and maintaining a clean and organized coat check space. The attendant will also handle cash transactions and assist guests with inquiries, contributing to a positive experience at the venue. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.
This role will pay an hourly rate between $20.00 plus tips

Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly as they arrive and assist them with checking in their coats and personal items.
Item Management: Efficiently check in and out coats and belongings, ensuring accurate tagging and tracking.
Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly coat check area, arranging items neatly and securely.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing guests' questions and concerns in a friendly manner.
Cash Handling: Process payments for coat check services, handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
Security: Ensure the safety and security of guests’ items, monitoring the area for any suspicious activity.
Assistance: Help guests retrieve their items quickly and efficiently during peak times.
Communication: Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise.
Policy Enforcement: Adhere to venue policies regarding items allowed in the coat check and inform guests as necessary.
Reporting: Document any lost or damaged items and report them to management as needed.
Age Requirement: Must meet the minimum age requirement for the venue, typically 18 or 21.
Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests and provide excellent service.
Communication Skills: Clear verbal communication skills to effectively assist patrons and collaborate with staff.
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately manage and track items, ensuring proper check-in/check-out procedures.
Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods and lift items if necessary.
Cash Handling Experience: Familiarity with handling cash and processing transactions accurately.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address issues calmly and efficiently, particularly during busy events.
Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
Basic Knowledge of Venue Policies: Understanding of the venue's rules and regulations regarding coat check services.
Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules
