The Door Host is the first point of contact for guests at our music and bar venue, responsible for creating a welcoming and safe environment. This role involves greeting patrons, checking identification, managing guest lists, and ensuring smooth entry and exit processes. The Door Host will also coordinate with security and staff to maintain crowd control and assist with any guest inquiries or issues. A strong emphasis on excellent customer service, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall guest experience and supporting the venue’s vibrant atmosphere.
This role will pay an hourly rate between $25.00

Guest Greeting: Welcome patrons as they arrive, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
ID Checking: Verify age and identification to ensure compliance with legal entry requirements.
Guest List Management: Check guests against the list and assist with reservations or ticketing processes.
Crowd Control: Monitor and manage the flow of guests entering and exiting the venue, ensuring safety and order.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between guests and venue staff, addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
Security Coordination: Work closely with security personnel to enforce venue policies and handle any disturbances or issues.
Assisting Guests: Provide information about upcoming events, venue policies, and amenities, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any guest disputes or complaints in a calm and professional manner.
Emergency Protocols: Be familiar with emergency procedures and assist in implementing them if necessary.
Reporting: Document and report any incidents, issues, or feedback to management for continuous improvement.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the entrance area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless operation and positive guest experience.
Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests and handle inquiries or complaints.
Experience: Previous experience in hospitality or security roles can be beneficial.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with patrons and staff.
Attention to Detail: Ability to check IDs and manage guest lists accurately.
Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to handle difficult situations, such as dealing with unruly patrons or emergencies.
Knowledge of Venue Policies: Ability to follow venue’s rules and regulations, including age restrictions and capacity limits.
Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for long periods and manage crowds.
Teamwork: Ability to work well with other staff members and security personnel.
First Aid/CPR Certification: preferred, particularly in larger venues.
