The Box Office Manager managers all aspects of the daily operation of the box office, processing orders and payments and providing unsurpassed customer and guest service for Mayo Civic Center. This person will oversee and manage the Box Office staff including full-time and part-time employees. Coordinate and participate in the development and administration of an annual budget. Direct the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in ticketing, staff management and customer service.

This role will pay a salary of $50,000-$60,000

Mayo Civic Center is Southern Minnesota's destination for local, regional, national, and international conventions, entertainment, social, and sporting events. Minimum of 3-5 years of increasingly responsible box office/ticketing experience, preferably with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multi-
purpose public assembly facility
Ability to work beyond normal business hours as required, based on event calendar
Strong listening skills and oral and written communication skills
Ability to be on feet for long periods of times
Knowledge of operation services and activities of, arena, public assembly facility or convention center sales programs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, PowerPoint, and Internet software
Familiarity with ticketing software, more specifically Ticketmaster
Knowledge of terminology used in box office/sales settings
Knowledge of principles of budget preparation and control
Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended number of days
