Position Summary

As a Ticket Seller Supervisor, you will oversee the ticketing operations for various events, ensuring smooth and efficient processes while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve managing ticket sellers, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure to ensure a positive experience for all event attendees.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.50 to $23.50.

About the Venue

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy.  The Complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the renowned 22,000-seat Greensboro Coliseum, which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships, and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Phish, as well as today’s biggest artists like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift.   The Complex also includes the 167,000-square foot Special Events Center, encompassing three exhibition halls, a 4,500-seat mini-arena, and eight meeting rooms. Additionally, there's White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, the Novant Health Fieldhouse, Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, ACC Hall of Champions, and the 300-seat Odeon Theatre.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the ticketing team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Train, and supervise ticket sellers, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate with event organizers to understand event details, including seating arrangements, ticket prices, discounts, and restrictions.
  • Ensure the ticketing system is functioning correctly, addressing any technical issues promptly.
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints, providing resolutions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of funds received from ticket sales, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate records of ticket sales, prepare reports, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure ticket sellers are following procedures and providing excellent service.
  • Quickly and effectively resolve any issues that arise during events, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 of Supervisory Experience.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with the public.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an entertainment/sports facility preferred.
  • Archtics/Ticketmaster experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADA regulations preferred.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
