The position of Zamboni Operator is responsible for the ice rink, proper safe operation of the ice resurfacer(Zamboni), maintenance of all areas pertaining to and or involved in maintaining a quality sheet of ice for the USHL Omaha Lancers hockey team. The Zamboni Operator will report to the Operations Manager.

This role will pay an hourly rate between $16 to $18 based on experience

Liberty First Credit Union Arena is an indoor arena located in the Ralston/Omaha, Nebraska area. The 200,000 sq. ft. arena can accommodate up to 4,400 patrons and hosts 350,000+ attendees at upwards of 150 concerts, sporting events, family shows, and other events every year. The arena is home to the USHL Omaha Lancers Hockey team and the NAL Omaha Beef Football team. The arena is just two miles from the interstate and attracts concert goers from a 100-mile radius.

• Perform general physical labor associated with set up and break down for events i.e. ice install, maintenance, glass repair, rink repair.
• Make repairs as directed by the Operations Manger.
• Operate a forklift truck.
• Drive zamboni during hockey games manintaing the ice to AHL and/or USHL standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A strong communicator: be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format to managment and staff as well as to all types of clients
• Organized, able to prioritize, and have strong time managment skills
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Advanced oral and written communication skills. 
• Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and inter-personal skills.
• Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
• Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility. 
• Prior experience driving a Zamboni machine is a plus.
• Prior experience with ice maintenance is a plus.
• Previous facility operations experience is a plus.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The employee must be able to perform strenuous physical duties at time. including lifting, carrying, moving and climbing.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, stooping, lifting and walking.
