Position Summary

The Vice President of Financial Systems is responsible for managing and executing the strategic direction for OVG’s accounting & finance systems and applications.  This role will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and collaborate closely with Finance & Accounting, Treasury, IT, and OVG line of business process owners.  The successful candidate must be able to build strong working relationships with cross functional teams and have an enterprise-wide mindset. Remote/Seattle.

 

This role will pay a yearly salary of $160,000 to $180,000 plus bonus

Responsibilities

Finance Systems Oversight

  • Own the day-to-day operations of finance systems including NetSuite ERP, Oracle EPM, and other applications to establish an integrated technology platform for Finance
  • Administer user access including onboarding, off boarding, and overall access control for all finance systems
  • Manage ongoing maintenance including data/configuration changes, vendor updates, oversee new code releases, and the related documentation and business communications
  • Oversee and coordinate new feature recommendations, software releases, troubleshooting, and system integrations
  • Monitor financial system-related internal controls, processes, and policies
  • Monitor usage and system performance
  • Develop tests, functional testing, and rollout of customizations, custom objects, new enhancements, application releases, and system integration based on user/business needs
  • Support development of new reports, input templates, custom dashboards, saved searches and other user tools
  • Develop user guides, conduct training and provide user support
  • Support continuous improvement of financial tools, systems, and processes that will effectively scale with the company's growth
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for financial applications and liaison to IT in partnership on enterprise application projects and roadmap
  • Manage 3rd party service providers and software vendors

Data Management Governance

  • Establish SOPs and policies to facilitate data integrity and consistency of financial data including the Chart of Accounts, vendor master, project master and other data objects
  • Enable integrated data flows across the technology stack and establish system checks and validations
  • Ensure quality of account data and perform regular data audits; resolve data integrity issues

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of NetSuite experience as an administrator or super user
  • NetSuite training or certification required
  • Working knowledge of csv imports, user provisioning, defining roles, analytics and scheduling scripts
  • Experience with applications in the finance domain (e.g., close consolidation & management, treasury software, tax software, AP solutions, etc.)
  • Understanding of the NetSuite stack and experience with all NetSuite modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Advanced Projects, etc.)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good project management skills and understanding of interrelationships of business processes
  • 5-7 years at the director level or above in leading teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required
  • Strong documentation experience in processes
  • Ability to execute detailed specifications from high-level requirements
  • Ability to collaborate and build cross-functional partnerships across the organization
