Position Summary

As a Maitre'D you should have experience with Upscale Dining service, as well as excellent knowledge of the NYC food and drink scene. Weekend availability is non-negotiable.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $24 to $26.

About the Venue

Peak is a premium restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards, in a State-of-the-Art building with panoramic views and situated above Edge, the highest outdoor observation deck in the city. A luxurious destination with breath-taking views of lower New York City.

Responsibilities

Deliver the company experience for guests:

  • Work with the restaurant team to create the company experience for guests.
  • Will assist in creating seating charts, managing the service flow, and accepting walk-in guests. 
  • Create an environment for the guests designed to stimulate all senses through personal services, amenities and experiences.
  • Follow up with guests with additional services that enhance the guests' experience.
  • Demonstrate the restaurant values when providing service and teamwork.
  • Able to execute a smooth transition between dinner and late-night lounge 

Create luxury for all the senses by greeting and seating guests:

  • Welcome guests and make them feel at home.
  • Seat guests, provide them with the menu and information about the restaurant.
  • Obtain beverages for guests if server is busy.
  • Monitor service load throughout outlet and seat incoming parties accordingly.
  • Help servers provide service during busy times.
  • Follow up with guests throughout their meal to ensure that they are receiving the experience they requested.

Qualifications

  • Organization: Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources.
  • Planning: Skillfully determine whether tasks should be attempted, identifying the most effective way of completing the task, and preparing to overcome expected difficulties.
  • Be professional, articulate, and punctual.  
  • Restaurant and nightlife experience is a plus.
  • Weekend availability is a must.
  • Experience working with Resy is preferred
