Position Summary

The Bar Staff plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by providing high-quality beverage service in a fast-paced environment. This position involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable time. Bar Staff must be friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu, with the ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

This role pays an hourly wage of $7.25 and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Serve Drinks: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and customer requests.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain Bar Area: Keep the bar clean, organized, and well-stocked, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
  • Process Payments: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, including balancing the cash register at the end of the shift.
  • Check Identification: Ensure all customers are of legal drinking age by checking identification before serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Stock Inventory: Monitor and replenish bar stock as needed, including beverages, garnishes, glassware, and other supplies.
  • Follow Safety and Sanitation Guidelines: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and cleanliness standards.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and provide an outstanding customer experience.
  • Handle Customer Concerns: Address any issues or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain a positive atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience as bar staff, bartender, or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, as well as drink preparation techniques.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately prepare and serve drinks, manage cash transactions, and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and handle the physical demands of the job.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Legal Requirements: Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol and possess any required licenses or certifications.
