Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting and supporting the Parking Manager with all parking activities at the Tanger Center and also at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex as needed. Activities currently exceed twelve hundred (1,200) events annually with revenue exceeding 2 million in the same time period. This position will support oversight of three city garages as well. This position will supervise over 100+ part time employees which includes monthly scheduling through 'When to Work' (computer based scheduling software), determine staffing levels per event and staff assignments, and manage volunteer and Greensboro Traffic Police coordination. This position concentrates on bi-weekly payroll administration and daily parking credit card settlement. A controlled parking management system called ParkHub (an integrated live event parking management and revenue collection software system) is used at both the Coliseum Complex and Tanger Center for all revenue collection via cash, credit card, on -line VIP sales, will also include online parking purchases through the use of mobile parking Apps. This position will focus his/her time on programming, managing oversight, troubleshooting and balancing financials from the parking management computer system.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $21.00 - $21.50.

About the Venue

Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of approximately 3,000. The venue is located in downtown Greensboro at 300 N. Elm Street. A $94M, state-of-the-art facility that has transformed downtown Greensboro (NC), the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts venue is home to touring Broadway productions, concerts, Guilford College’s Bryan Series, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra performances, comedy shows and all types of family entertainment.  In its remarkable first two years, the Tanger Center has hosted over 700,000 patrons, 382 events and performances and 146 sold-out shows. Presented with partners Nederlander and Professional Facilities Management (PFM), the First Bank Broadway Series is one of the nation’s top-selling one-week Broadway series with over 16,000 Season Seat Members.

Responsibilities

  • Manages part-time roster parking staff as they park cars for events at the Tanger Center.
  • Prepares parking operations plans for events, including monthly traffic police staffing and related costs.Determines use and location of traffic cones to create traffic flow.
  • Assist Parking Manager with vendor management for snow removal, sidewalk and asphalt repairs,vehicle maintenance, Cushman scooters, VMS signs and portable light towers. Also, assist with ordering event related equipment such as port-a-johns, golf carts, cones and signs.
  • Coordinates all transportation on the property as it applies to shuttles to and from satellite properties.
  • Manages ParkHub on a daily basis including cash transactions, credit card transactions & settlement, VIPlist distribution and hand held device upkeep that includes software updates.
  • Determines event loads and staffing levels for each event requiring parking staff. Creates monthlyemployee work schedules and publishes to all roster staff.
  • Perform all duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2-4 years job-related experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of parking facility operations and industry standards.
  • Considerable knowledge with parking operations software and systems.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a varied and flexible work schedule including weekends, holidays, and nights.
