Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Partnerships, the Partnerships & Premium Seating Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sponsorship team throughout the sales process, driving new premium seating business, overseeing the day-of-event premium seating experience, and maintaining client relationships to achieve department revenue goals for OVG at McCormick Place, Wintrust Arena and the Arie Crown Theatre.

 

We are looking for hard-working, creative individuals who have a passion for the sport and entertainment industry. Suitable candidates for the role will have a high attention to detail, the desire to learn and build a career in the sport and entertainment industry, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Strong candidates will have experience selling in the industry and/or have experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud.

 

This role will pay a hourly rate of $26.45 to $31.25.

About the Venue

McCormick Place located in downtown Chicago is the largest and most flexible convention center in North America., With over 2.6 million square feet of exhibition space, the campus proudly hosts some of the world’s largest and most prestigious conventions, meetings, and trade shows, welcoming approximately 3 million visitors to Chicago every year. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growing premium seating revenue by actively prospecting and selling suite leases, suite rentals and club seating at Wintrust Arena and Arie Crown Theater.
  • Identify qualified sales leads and manage prospect lists through CRM input.
  • Under direction of management, routine coordination with marketing department to develop and execute marketing sponsorship programs and deliverables
  • Manage ticketing distribution and hospitality for clients. 
  • Meet and exceed sales revenue quota as well as other goals set by your manager.  
  • Establish and maintain complete and efficient records of all partner/prospect contacts that are accessible by OVG. 
  • Provide regular reports as required by your manager for sales pipeline, revenue achievements, prospecting, and forecasting through proper recording methods provided by your manager

Qualifications

  • Ideally 1-3 years of sales or sales coordinator experience, preferably in the sports and entertainment or advertising and brand sales industries. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of your role and improve those around you. 
  • Knowledge of the sport/event sponsorship sales and advertising industry. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.    
  • Ability to quickly establish personal relationships through trust, knowledge, and empathy.   
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.   
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • A self-starter that has the ability to multitask, reacts well under pressure, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A hard worker who values integrity and respect for others, and a team player who also understands how to lead. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. 
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Etc.) preferred.
