Ice Crew will be a member of a professional, high-energy ice maintenance and interactive team. Team members will be out-going, athletic, experienced skaters with an interest in hockey and ice operations.

This role will pay $18.42/hour (after 90-day probationary period)

The 15,000+ seat downtown arena is home to the eleventh-time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the six-time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team. The XL Center entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows throughout the season. • Arrives for work on time for each scheduled shift, in uniform and ready to work
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to take both verbal and written direction
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
• Assist in quick changes, which include the construction/deconstruction of the penalty and player boxes
• Change out broken hockey glass during games
• Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, skate, and reach/lift above head in conjunction with ice maintenance tasks
• Ability to skate and remove snow during media timeouts
• Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
• Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• All other tasks assigned by Supervisor

• Experience working in an ice rink setting preferred
• Comfortable in front of large crowds
• Proficient ice-skating
