Position Summary

The Dishwasher washes and sanitizes all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment and small wares. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15.

 

Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

About the Venue

Centene Community Ice Center is a state-of-the-art facility designed for hockey programming that is curated for all ages and skill levels. It houses three sheets of ice year-round and features an outdoor rink for use in winter months. It is the official practice facility for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL) and serves as the home rink for Lindenwood University (NCAA DI). Alongside hockey development programs, the facility also offers freestyle skating and daily public skate sessions providing a unique experience for locals to get on the ice.

Saint Louis Music Park is a 4,500-seat outdoor venue that hosts concerts, festivals, local markets, and more. Performers have included Alicia Keys, Machine Gun Kelly, The Avett Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jack White, and many more. It offers an intimate outdoor amphitheater experience and boasts a fan-centric pavilion featuring food trucks, picnic tables, yard games, and more

Responsibilities

  • Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items previously used so that they may be used again in clean condition, free of any contamination risk.
  • Utilizes and implements M.S.D.S. criteria, food and product safety, and Food and Beverage Policies and Procedures.
  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines.
  • Wash specific items by hand if needed.
  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately.
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary.
  • Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
  • Remove garbage regularly.
  • Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift, including the floor.
  • Removes all trash and maintains loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition.
  • Stocks plates, glasses, pots, utensils and pans after cleaning.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all food service areas and equipment.
  • Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a casual and/or fine dining atmosphere helpful.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy items. Team lifting adhered to avoid injury.
  • Able to frequently bend and stoop.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
