Position Summary

The Manager, Parking, will be responsible for leading, developing and managing parking and transportation operations for PPG Paints Arena. This individual will also develop operational strategies to ensure an exceptional experience for employees and guests while generating positive financial returns and supporting the goals and objectives of our Clients and the department. The role will work with stakeholders to develop and implement a strategic parking plan utilizing industry best practices. This position requires a leader who can provide innovation in the development, planning, and implementation of our parking and mobility strategies. The Manager, Parking reports directly to the VP, Finance. 

 

This role will pay a salary of $74,000 to $85,300 plus bonus

PPG Paints Arena, home of the 5-time Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins and managed by  OVG360, is the regional epicenter for athletic events, concerts, and family shows in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Northern West Virginia. Hosting more than 150 events and 1.6MM guests per year, PPG Paints Arena’s state-of-the-art design offers the flexibility needed to host a wide variety of events and event types, with seating configurations ranging from and intimate 4,000 theatre to over 19,000.Annually ranked as one of the Top 20 arenas in North America in live entertainment attendance and ticket sales, PPG Paints Arena has proven to be a must-play arena in the upper mid-west and northeast United States.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational excellence and high-quality service by developing and implementing efficient procedures with emphasis on continual improvement.
  • Perform managerial responsibilities in accordance with the department's policies, procedures and applicable laws.  
  • Hire, develop, train, and support team of parking attendants and supervisors.
  • Responsible for maintaining department operations (e.g. payroll, event operations, supervisor schedules, generating of reports, etc.).
  • Provide input and analysis to department with regard to developing and monitoring the budget. 
  • Develop, approve, and implement department policies, procedures, and reports and train staff on changes.
  • Assess and determine departmental needs, provide quotes, create purchase orders, and make recommendations to management for approval.
  • Responsible for making sure all event materials (signs, barricades, cones, etc.) are in sufficient supply; in working order and appropriately dispersed and returned for all events. 
  • Assist other departments when needed to ensure our guests’ experiences are extraordinary and memorable. Address complaints and resolve issues with colleagues and guests.
  • Act as department and company representative in internal and external meetings.
  • Perform routine audits, including revenue, pay systems, and operational audits.
  • Review/analyze guest surveys and other performance measures to maximize operational performance.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience                                                        

  • 5 years of experience in parking/transportation management, event management preferred of which 3 years must have been in a supervisory/management capacity
  • Knowledge of parking revenue management systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be comfortable working with the public and have strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Valid driver license required.
